Mataura Valley Milk named sponsor of 2024 Hokonui Culture Feast
The Gore District Council is pleased to announced that Gore-based company Mataura Valley Milk (MVM) is the naming sponsor of the 2024 Hokonui Culture Feast.
On Friday 18 October, the MVM Hokonui Culture Feast will be a spectacle of colour at its new venue, the MLT Event Centre. With a variety of cultures, performances and food to try, this international affair will be one not to be missed.
Mataura Valley Milk General Manager Paddy Mc Myler said MVM was honoured to be the naming sponsor of the Hokonui Culture Feast.
“We are invested in supporting the growth and development of our local region,” Mr Mc Myler said. “We feel a real synergy between our business and the Culture Feast, particularly when it comes to bringing people together in Gore and celebrating diversity and culture.”
Mataura Valley Milk is part of The a2 Milk Company, which was founded on the discovery that not all milk is the same. The a2 Milk Company produces a portfolio of dairy products made with milk from cows that are specially selected to naturally produce only A2-type protein.
The a2™ brand was born on the pristine plains of New Zealand’s finest dairy regions, and has since expanded with presence in Australia, New Zealand, China and Other Asia, and North America.
Gore District Council Chief Executive Debbie Lascelles said the Council was proud to partner with Mataura Valley Milk to deliver this community event.
“It is very important to us to work with local businesses for our events. Thanks to MVM’s
support we can elevate the culture feast to a whole new level for our community.”
Senior Events Coordinator Jessica Swan said having a naming sponsor was a significant development in the event's growth.
“We’re always motivated to improve our events every year. Having Mataura Valley Milk and The a2 Milk Company as a part of that journey is a fantastic opportunity.
“We can attract more local vendors, move to a bigger venue and most importantly, keep the
event free for attendees.”
This year’s MVM Hokonui Culture Feast also sees Ajax Building Contractors Ltd return as gold sponsors.
“Ajax first joined as gold sponsor last year and we are thrilled to receive their support again.
“We love that it has such a great connection to the event, and its community-minded values align perfectly with what we hope to achieve, which is a fun, affordable, family-friendly evening,” Miss Swan said.
Head over to the MLT Event Centre from 5:30pm – 8:30pm on Friday 18 October so you can skip the dishes and dine around the world at the MVM Hokonui Culture Feast.
