Elected Members
Mayor & Councillors
The Gore District Council is led by the Mayor and has 11 Councillors. They’re your voice around the Council table, and you’re welcome to contact them at any time to discuss ideas, issues, or concerns.
Seven councillors are elected across three wards representing Gore, Mataura, and the rural sector. The mayor and three councillors are elected district-wide.
Council meets monthly to make formal decisions about the running of our District, including policies, budgets, and key projects that shape our community.
The Gore DIstrict also has one community board, which looks after the second largest urban area - Mataura. The Mataura Community Board meets monthly and has five members.
Council and community board meeting agendas are made public on this website before each meeting. Meetings are livestreamed. Click on this link for our Meeting Livestream and Agenda page.
