Matai Ridge sections sell at auction
A renewed push to sell the last remaining sections at the Gore District Council’s Matai Ridge residential subdivision is paying dividends.
General Manager Operations David Bainbridge-Zafar said two of the three sections offered at auction last Friday sold under the hammer.
“It’s great to see people realising the potential of this subdivision with its views across Gore to the iconic Hokonui Hills.”
Of the 36 sections in the subdivision, 23 have been sold. The remaining sections are being marketed by local real estate agents and are available either via a deadline sale or negotiation.
Mr Bainbridge-Zafar said the sections still available represented excellent value for money.
"According to a recent report on Local Housing Statistics by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, Gore is the most affordable place for home ownership in the country, so it’s a great place for people to get onto the property ladder."
Affordability was only part of the story, he said.
“Building in Gore also comes with lifestyle advantages you don’t always find in bigger centres - minimal commute times, excellent schools and community facilities, and a welcoming, connected community.
“It’s a place where people can enjoy the best of both worlds, a modern new home in a growing subdivision, with all the benefits of rural city living right on their doorstep.”
Anyone interested in being part of Matai Ridge should contact the following local agents: Property Brokers, Bayleys, Harcourts, Colliers, or Ray White.
