As the Finance Manager, reporting to the GM Corporate Support in this newly created role, you will work across the entire council leading all aspects of Financial Management.
This is focused on ensuring financial processes, systems & the team are working effectively to ensure staff have access to accurate & timely information to inform decision making.
You will take a lead role in the Council’s Annual Plan, Annual Report & 10-Year-Plan (Long Term Plan) formation & delivery.
The role will;
- Lead a team of four (Management Accountant, Financial Officer x2, Rating Officer)
- Provide best practice financial management advice & support to budget holders across the Council
- Lead the monthly reporting process
- Review & improve financial systems & processes
- Develop business cases, budget management & financial forecasting / analysis for stakeholders
